Draft for legal review. Last updated 25 October 2026.
Cancellations and refunds
Plans change. These rules decide what happens to the host’s money and the guest’s date pass, and they always protect the person who showed up. Times are counted back from the plan’s start time.

The basics
- The guest never pays for the date and never receives money. Anything she gets back is a date pass or a perk.
- Partner venues: the host pays the package price when he picks. It’s held until you both check in.
- Open venues: the host places a refundable hold of ₹300 for coffee or ₹500 for a meal or drinks, and pays the bill at the venue. When you both check in, the hold is refunded within 24 hours.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay.
Cancelling a confirmed plan
| Who cancels, and when | Host’s money | Guest’s pass |
|---|---|---|
| Either of you, 24 hours or more before | Full refund | Returned |
| Host, less than 24 hours before | Partner venue: 25% is kept as a late fee and the rest refunded. Open venue: the hold is kept. | Returned, plus 1 bonus date pass |
| Guest, less than 24 hours before | Full refund, plus a free boost on his next plan | Used |
“Life happens”
Everyone gets one late cancellation every 90 days with no mark on their record and no late fee. Money is refunded as for an early cancellation. A guest still gets her pass back and bonus pass if the host uses his allowance.
If someone doesn’t show up
Check-in is open from 15 minutes before to 30 minutes after the start. Anyone who hasn’t checked in by then is marked as a no-show, unless the other person confirms you met.
| Who didn’t show | Host | Guest |
|---|---|---|
| Guest | Full refund, or hold refunded, plus a free boost | Pass used; no-show recorded |
| Host, at a partner venue | 50% kept, 50% refunded; no-show recorded | Pass returned, plus a solo perk: one item from the package, redeemable at the venue that day |
| Host, at an open venue | Hold kept; no-show recorded | Pass returned, plus 1 bonus date pass |
If neither of you checks in, we ask you both whether you met. If the answers don’t match, our team reviews it.
If the venue lets you down
If a venue is closed, overbooked or can’t serve the package, the host gets a full refund, the guest gets her pass back, and you’re both offered a free re-booking.
If it wasn’t covered as promised
After the date, the guest is asked whether everything was covered as promised. A “no” opens a support case and is recorded against the host. Two confirmed cases mean a 30-day suspension; a third means a ban.
Before anyone is picked
- Guests can withdraw interest for free any time before being picked; the pass comes back.
- If the host doesn’t pick by the deadline, the plan expires and all passes come back.
- If the host’s payment fails, the pick lapses after 30 minutes and nothing is charged.
Perks and bonus passes
- A bonus date pass is an extra date pass. It expires after 90 days.
- A solo perk is one item from the venue package, redeemable that day.
- A free boost shows the host’s next plan higher in the feed for 24 hours.
- None of these are cash. They can’t be withdrawn, sold or transferred.
Subscriptions
Stub Pass and Host Plus are billed by Google Play. You can cancel any time in Google Play; it takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for, and confirmed plans continue. Refund requests for subscriptions are handled under Google Play’s refund policies.
